First, make a management password
Use a password dedicated to this QR code. The original short-PIN PlacePass format is not recommended for managing a live link.
Save this random password in your password manager. It cannot be recreated from a place.
Prefer a password you can recreate?
QR Recovery V2 uses your three-word location and a long, unique recovery phrase instead of a short PIN. The same inputs recreate the same management password in your browser.
Prefer at least five randomly chosen words, not a quotation or personal fact. Spaces, capitalisation and spelling must match exactly when recreating it. Your phrase is never sent to the server.

This service is currently free. Fees may be introduced in future, including for existing QR codes. We’ll publish any changes on this site; we don’t collect an email address for individual notifications.
Anyone with your QR reference and management password can change where it leads. Availability and uninterrupted redirects aren’t guaranteed. Keep a backup destination on important printed materials and read the full service terms.
Report a suspicious or abusive QR code
Reports are reviewed by the site owner and are not an emergency response service. A report does not automatically disable a link.
